Red Pen Procurement was born out of real frustrations inside a commercial interior design studio. We were founded by a designer who experienced firsthand how disconnected procurement models created chaos for designers: fragmented vendors, broken communication, install-day surprises, and approved specifications being swapped for someone else’s margin. She believed there had to be a better way to protect the design vision from specification through final installation.
Red Pen began as the in-house procurement solution built to solve those problems. Instead of outsourcing warehousing, installation, and coordination across multiple vendors, Red Pen created a streamlined model under one roof — handling purchasing, receiving, inventory management, installation, punch items, and project oversight with a single coordinated team. What started as a solution for one interior design firm evolved into a trusted procurement partner supporting designers, architects, and developers across the country.
